Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel
Hotel Information: The Flamingo anchors the famous four corners of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, with glittering casinos, free shows, and other Strip attractions within easy reach. The notorious Bugsy Siegel opened the original Flamingo in 1946, paving the way for modern Las Vegas. (“Flamingo” was the nickname of Siegel’s red-haired, long-legged girlfriend Virginia Hill.) The original hotel is gone, but the Flamingo still appeals to nonstop partiers. Families also find a warm welcome here.
Insider tip: By going to the Flamingo desk near Baggage Carousel 1, guests arriving at the airport may check into their rooms while waiting for luggage to arrive.
The 28-story Flamingo Las Vegas offers 3,565 guestrooms, all with floor-to-ceiling windows. Contemporary decor includes loveseats and upholstered armchairs. Desks have high-speed Internet connections (surcharge). Other amenities include laptop-sized safes, pay movies, and TV video games (surcharges). Bathrooms contain shower/tub combinations. |
